BTI, Olympic Supply distribute Uncle Dick's Bead Slip

Published March 10, 2014

MILWAUKEE (BRAIN) — BTI and Olympic Supply are distributing Uncle Dick's Bead Slip and Brush Bags this year. Uncle Dick's Bead Slip is a lubricant that helps bicycle mechanics with tough tire installations.

"Feedback has been great, consistently good and dealers are happy to have a product that helps turn bikes faster. That's really the key here: the product increases efficiency and that's money," said Rich Travis, Uncle Dick's founder.

Bead Slip is not just for tire mounting. Travis says mechanics are using it to fix tires with wobbles, lubricating the bead in the problem area so it slips up under the rim hook. Fitting fat bike tires can be a problem since that fat rubber can be hard to get seated, but a little Bead Slip helps. The slip is also popular for tubeless tire installations.

"I'm still actively seeking regional distributorship in key regions such as Pacific Northwest, Southeast and all of Canada," Travis said.

Dealers and distributors can contact Travis directly at rich@uncledicksbikeshop.com for terms and pricing.
