New Farrier line from Fort Collins Bicycle to be distributed by Hawley.

FT. COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Fort Collins Bicycle Co., the parent company of Swobo Bicycles, is launching a new line of road bikes for children and small adults. The Farrier line will be distributed to IBDs by Hawley Company.

The line currently includes one model, the Stayer, available with either 24-inch or 650c wheel sizes. The Stayer has an aluminum frame and Shimano Claris STI shifting and will retail for $799. The Stayer 650 is available in Fire Engine Red, while the Stayer 24 is painted Screaming Canary.

FCBC president Peter Discoe said the bike line had been a pet project of his. "As my children were growing up, there was a clear absence of options for bicycles that would allow our family to ride together for anything beyond a mile or two. Giving children a quality option that will allow them to keep up and ride along with mom and dad was really important to me."

The bikes are being made in China by ACE Trikes and are available now from Hawley. Hawley also distributes Swobo bikes and clothing.
