QBP plans Service Summit for central region retailers

Published January 11, 2016

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products has announced it will offer its Service Summit again, this time for central region retailers at its Bloomington, Minnesota, headquarters and distribution center.

The one-day summit, to be held Monday, Feb. 29, will cover a variety of service-related topics. In partnership with Shimano, SRAM, RockShox, Campagnolo, Park Tool, and Finish Line, and QBP brands iSSi, Quality Wheels, and the Shock Treatment Center, it will provide hands-on training for shop mechanics.

"The first service summit we offered sold out in less than 48 hours. We feel it is critical to provide business education and tech training that fosters growth and success in our retailer's service departments," said Lauren DiMartino, category sales manager for QBP. "We plan to offer the service summit at all of our distribution centers throughout the year. Partnering with multiple brands will ensure that this and future service summits are impactful."

Repair and service topics covered at the summit will include service writing, bike shop economics, setting labor rate standards, profitability through best practices, and shop employee retention.

The Service Summit will be held at the end of QBP's Frostbike dealer event, set for Feb. 25-28.

The full day of training will cost $100. Interested retailers can contact DiMartino at ldimartino@qbp.com for more information and to register.
