Erik's acquires 2 BikeSource locations in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (BRAIN) — Erik's Bike Shop purchased the two Kansas City, Kansas-area locations of retail chain BikeSource. The acquisitions raise Erik's store count to 26 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and, soon, Kansas.

"We are excited to work with BikeSource staff and customers to make this a smooth transition for all. Erik's will continue the legacy of great service to cyclists in the Kansas City area," said Erik Saltvold, founder and owner of Erik's.

The stores are located at 11500 W. 135th Street in Overland Park and 3701 W. 95th Street in Leawood. 
The last day of business for the BikeSource Leawood location was Tuesday, Oct. 11, and it is set to reopen as an Erik's store on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The Overland Park store closed Monday, Oct. 10, and will reopen Monday, Oct. 17.

Erik's carries Specialized, Raleigh, Bianchi, Pivot, Pure Fix, State Bicycle Co., Haro and other brands.
