MORGAN HILL, Calif., Dec. 3rd, 2019 — The Board of Directors of Outride have begun a search for an Executive Director. Outride is a non-profit organization that provides evidence-based cycling interventions to improve social, emotional, and cognitive health. The new Executive Director will lead the organization and will be responsible for activities including strategic planning, community collaboration, oversight of annual budget, and supervision of the Outride team.
Over the next five years, Outride is working to expand their Riding for Focus school program internationally, broaden research efforts to further examine cycling’s benefits on the brain, and establish a diverse and active donor network to support the growth of community health and wellness through cycling.
Outride is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and talented individual to join their team to help lead the future of the organization. The ideal candidate is a leader with extensive fundraising success and experience developing a start-up into maturity. The Executive Director will work in partnership with the Board of Directors and Outride team to develop goals and execute strategies that support the Outride mission and long-term vision.
Applicants should, but are not required to, hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, education, human services or other business-related fields. Given Outride’s mission, candidates with degrees in Neuroscience and similar fields are also welcome to apply. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in management including experience overseeing personnel, general operations, and financial administration. Experience with fundraising including securing grants and cultivating major donors is preferred as well.
