Folding bike brand invites friends and partners to Grand Opening Ceremony
Shenzhen, China – DAHON, pioneers in green mobility, have relocated their Shenzhen headquarters. The new DAHON facility in the Central Business District (CBD) in Shenzhen, is conveniently located near the Metro, making it even easier for customers and partners to visit. DAHON took the opportunity to merge the Opening Ceremony with the brand's Annual New Year Meeting where partners took in presentations on the latest products and technology from DAHON, as well as exclusive insights into the brand's plans for the coming year.
With a total area of around 3,000 square meters, the new facility is divided into two areas of office space and a product research and development center, equipped with advanced technology. The spacious and clean office environment and the friendly atmosphere reflect DAHON's "green" culture. Production now also takes place across two factories; one folding bicycle factory in Huizhou, and an e-bike factory in the East of Shenzhen. "The two factories allow for an increased capacity and furthered growth in terms of production. This relocation allows us to remain effective, whilst also maintaining cost efficiency. This enhances our efforts in developing an efficient global strategy that benefits customers and distributors as well as ensuring continued success in the bicycle industry as leaders in green transportation", the company said. In the future, the DAHON Group will continue to invest in research and development, increase the speed of producing new products, and maintain its reputation of bringing cutting edge technology to consumers around the globe.
During the ceremony, DAHON founder and CEO Dr. David Hon was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" in the form of the 2019 "Golden Bicycle". The award recognized the DAHON Group's vigorous development over the last 38 years, as well as the consistent growth in brand recognition, revenue and production. The prestigious award was presented by Mr. Zhou Fuyuan, the chairman of biketo. Additionally, Mr. Ma Zhusen, Secretary General of the Guangdong Bicycle Association, presented Dr. Hon the "Outstanding Contributor in the Bicycle Industry" award, and the Shenzhen Bicycle Association offered Dr. Hon a special gift during the ceremony.
