Two Decades of U.S. Manufacturing and Innovation

In 2020 Catrike is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Created in the pursuit of building the best possible recumbent trike, it started as a one-person operation and today is one of the largest cycle manufactures in the United States. Over the last 20 years, Catrike has continued to build and refine its product line and U.S. based manufacturing process. They now produce over 3000 trikes a year.

Every Catrike starts as raw aluminum tubing before it is cut, bent, welded, painted and assembled in Catrike's Orlando, Florida, factory. It's current line of premium, USA made recumbent trikes includes eight different models, each with their own unique riding style and characteristics. The diverse range and IBD focused business model of competitive margins, and free shipping has allowed Catrike to build a network of over 200 dealers.

"It is extraordinary to reach this milestone in the company's history," said General Manager Mark Egeland. "Twenty years of manufacturing in Orlando and continued growth is a testament to our design philosophy, manufacturing process and an incredible team. We are extremely proud of our products and the innovations we have brought to the market. We are excited about our continued growth in the IBD market and building on the brand's momentum."

Catrike recently announced the launch of its E-Cat line of electric assist trikes. Based on Catrike's existing range, most Catrike models will be available in E-Cat variants. The E-Cat line will be available in all eight of Catrike's signature colors: Moon Rock Silver, Liquid Black, Eon Green, Firefly Yellow, Atomic Orange, Lava Red, Candy Purple and of course Electric Blue.
