BOULDER, COLO. (March 31, 2020) — Are you passionate about building community, uniting riders and getting more people on bikes? PeopleForBikes is recruiting ambassadors for Ride Spot, a new digital biking platform developed to make it easier for people to discover, share and enjoy great bike rides.

The ambassador program aims to amplify the stories of a diverse biking community, from commuters and recreational riders to fitness enthusiasts and competitive cyclists. The common thread uniting Ride Spot ambassadors is a shared love of bicycles and great rides, a passion for motivating other people and a drive to make biking better for everyone within their communities and beyond.

"Becoming a Ride Spot ambassador is a way to share your love of bicycling, strengthen the virtual community of riders and make it easier for more people to get on bikes in your neighborhood or city," said Eric Lynn, Ride Spot program and product director at PeopleForBikes. "At a time when community building and the simple joy of an amazing bike ride are more important than ever, we hope Ride Spot will be a resource for new riders and longtime bike enthusiasts alike."

The Ride Spot platform includes a suite of free features such as suggested rides, audio and visual turn-by-turn directions, guidance on equipment and riding techniques, plus helpful information on finding bike shops and supporting local bike advocacy efforts. Following a soft launch last spring and accolades from Fast Company in late 2019, Ride Spot is now rolling out in cities across the U.S.

Ride Spot provides a virtual gathering place and community for like-minded bicycling enthusiasts — and makes it easier for newer riders to discover routes in their hometowns. Ride Spot users and ambassadors alike are reminded to follow proper social distancing guidelines when they ride, and choose safe rides close to home.

Ambassadors will create and share at least two "Ride Stories" every month, sharing bike experiences with photos and written narratives to encourage and inspire other cyclists. These stories will be shared on Ride Spot and PeopleForBikes social media channels.

Interested in joining the new army of Ride Spot ambassadors? Apply to become an ambassador today, and start sharing your next great ride with friends and neighbors.
