Springfield-based rack company works with manufacturing partners to bring 20,000 surgical masks to the United States

Springfield, MO– Küat Racks didn't have many ways to help in the COVID-19 crisis, at first. And then manufacturing partners overseas helped the company source 20,000 surgical-grade masks. Those masks landed in Springfield and Küat is getting them into the hands of frontline health care workers immediately.

Küat president and co-founder Luke Kuschmeader said Küat started with humble roots and it's their time to give back, "We are a modest rack company that found an opportunity to help in this unprecedented time," said Kuschmeader. "Keeping health care workers, who are selflessly serving our communities, a little more safe is our small way of saying thank you."

Just this week, Küat donated and delivered 6,000 masks to CoxHealth and 6,000 to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Küat also worked with ambassadors to send 2,000 masks to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire and another 3,000 to Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma.

"We'll continue to look for ways we can help as this crisis continues," said Kuschmeader. "It's at the core of who we are as a company."
