The Serotta International Cycling Institute is proud to announce a significant change in our course offerings. Our former thee day Personalized Class has been carefully modified to be offered in a virtual format. The class has been split into Level I and Level II classes. This change has been driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, however, we believe that easier access to bike fit knowledge will help to improve revenue for local bike shops as well as ultimately improve the cycling experience for customers that receive excellent evidence based bike fits.

Level I * class will be offered as two 4 hour small group Zoom sessions that will include but are not limited to the following topics:

  • Comprehensive Discussion of the Business of Fitting
  • Sizing vs Fitting
  • What You Will Need to Get Started in Fitting
  • Basic Principals of Interview Process
  • Standardized Measurement of the Bike
  • Cycling Anatomy and Contact points
  • Bike Fit Methodology
  • Common Fit Related Complaints and Solutions
  • Documentation

Level II class will be scheduled as an individual one-on-one class either virtually or in-person depending upon student needs or requests. This class with encompass the “hands-on” portion of our curriculum and will provide some review of Level I. This class will include:

  • Level I Review
  • Common Cycling Related Complaints and Solutions
  • Case study practice
  • Palpation Skills
  • “Hands-on” Physical Assessment skills
  • Foot Analysis Lecture and “Hands-on” Practice
  • Hands-on Fitting Practice with Bike-on-trainer and/or Sizecycle

We have considered every aspect of this course to maintain the highest standards of education for our students. We look forward to the opportunity to improve the collective level of knowledge of bike fit in the cycling industry and beyond.

*The Level I course can be taken on it’s own but will NOT qualify the student for certification or endorsement by SICI. Level I and II classes as well as written and practical examination are required for certification.
