Ashland, OR (Sept 1, 2021 ), United Bicycle Institute (UBI) hires Seth Rand as General Manager to usher UBI into its next chapter, leading strategic growth and development for the almost 40-year-old Southern Oregon company. Rand brings more than 20 years of experience in the bike industry and a passion for education. As an Ashland native, UBI was the cornerstone of his mechanical skills. "We couldn't be happier to welcome Seth to our team. As a familiar face with proven success in the industry, his balance of experience in the bike industry and traditional education will bring a new point of view to UBI as we enter into our next evolution," said Ron Sutphin, UBI president.

"I'm elated to join the team at UBI and focus my energy on delivering the best educational experiences in the bicycle industry. Next month, we celebrate our 40th anniversary and I'm proud to have a hand in building our next 40," said Seth Rand.

UBI has endless opportunity right now and is quickly adapting to meet its customer's changing needs. With more mechanics wanting technical training to advance their careers and enthusiasts looking to gain more confidence as they work on their own bikes, UBI is building educational experiences that best serve both groups.
