Chicago, IL, September 6th, 2021: Organizers of the CABDA Expo announced NBDA president Heather Mason as the speaker for the Keynote Breakfast held during their annual Midwest Expo.

Mason’s career has touched nearly every role in the cycling industry, including bike shop owner and manager, professional athlete, retail columnist and author, and national level supply executive.

“In case you’ve been living under a rock and somehow missed it, Heather’s first year at NBDA has been nothing short of extraordinary” CABDA Show Director Jim Kersten said, “Heather was an easy choice to give a keynote and hopefully inspire our industry into action.”

Mason’s keynote presentation, titled “A Whole Lot Louder and a Little Less Guarded” will address the timely issue of how can form a powerful chain, by combining our actions, voices, and mindsets.

“We're facing a lot of challenges as an industry, along with a surge in consumer interest, and maybe it's cliche, but we're in this together.” Mason said, “Our message is for everyone who is ready to do what is needed to take the bicycle industry forward as a whole.”

The CABDA Keynote Breakfast takes place on Thursday, September 16th at 9AM. It is open to all attendees and exhibitors of CABDA Midwest. Free breakfast is served for the first 200 attendees.

“We were looking for someone that would light a fire not just under the crowd here in Chicago, but under the entire industry. Heather is a dynamic, engaging, and truly motivating person, so it was an easy choice.” Kersten said.
