Timothy Leedom Brings Decades of Leadership Experience to Urban Cycling and Outdoor Brand

PORTLAND, Ore. – Chrome Industries, the leader in footwear, bags and apparel for urban mobility for nearly three decades, today announces that Timothy Leedom has been named as the brand's new President. Leedom brings deep experience from executive roles at Bern Helmets, Nike, Sports Illustrated, Reebok, and Pandora.

Leedom most recently served as Chief Executive Officer for Bern Helmets, where he built a new structure from the ground up to revitalize the brand's culture and mission which ultimately helped bring new award-winning products to market and triple direct-to-consumer sales. Leedom and his team also forged global strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Strider Bikes, Lime, and Rad Power Bikes. At his previous roles with RunKeeper (Asics Digital), Pandora, and Nike, Leedom had various executive roles which oversaw strategic partnerships, media, and business development initiatives.

"I am honored and excited to be joining Chrome, and to continue to build a legendary brand that has remained focused on its roots. Chrome started it all in the urban cycling culture and has remained a leader with it's offering of durable, modern and functional products." said Leedom. "The world stands on the brink of a global mobility revolution and Chrome has embraced the future and is backed by a committed team that's passionate and focused. I'm confident that there are big things ahead for all of us as the definition of transportation evolves."

Founded in 1995, Chrome Industries began producing bags for bike messengers in San Francisco. Now headquartered in Portland, Oregon, the brand has established itself as a leader in the world of urban mobility and beyond. Chrome continues to expand as the brand enters the latter part of its third decade. In addition to bags known to last for decades, Chrome produces a full line of technical apparel and footwear.

Chrome Industries: Useful Durable Gear. Made for the City and Beyond. Since 1995.
Over the last 25 years we never wavered from our commitment to making useful durable gear for people who live and ride in the city. We design and build our own things and care about how stuff is made. Everything we make is purpose built, street-tested by our own crew and professionals around the world. Beyond the products we make, Chrome is a way of living the city. It's working hard, playing hard and riding hard. Living at the intersection of creativity, resourcefulness, community and grit. Where art, music, photography, bike, moto, and skate collide. It's protecting our playground and making our cities even more rad places to be. We don't simply make products for people who live in the city. We are the city. Learn more at: https://www.chromeindustries.com.
