Scheduled for July 9, 2022 in Nederland, CO, Ned Gravel charges into their second year, closes in on 75% sell through

Boulder, Colo. (For Immediate Release): With only 75 days until race day, Ned Gravel, a Colorado gravel bike race that proactively encourages diversity and inclusion on the starting line, is announcing their list of 2022 sponsors and events as registration nears 75%.

With names such as Cannondale, Hunt Wheels, Ride for Racial Justice, Eldora Mountain Resort, and Garmin signed on as sponsors, and events planned with Pearl Izumi and Boulder’s University Bicycles, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better in its second year.

"After a very successful first year, things are falling into place just as we’d hoped,” says Gavin Coombs, Founder and Race Director for Ned Gravel. “We made a big impact last year to generate enough buzz and interest for this year’s event that our list of sponsors has grown, registration is filling up fast, and we have more local businesses signed on for special pre-race events. We’re excited for race day!"

Ned Gravel’s list of brand and non-profit sponsors includes:

To further Ned Gravel’s mission of inclusivity, University Bicycles will be hosting free weekly training sessions every Wednesday until race day to help those new to the sport learn how to train and perform at their best.

University Bicycles will also host a screening of Pearl Izumi’s new short film Gravel: A Love Letter. Scheduled for later this spring, tickets are available to anyone.

With race day scheduled for July 9, Ned Gravel returns with courses designed for everyone, from the 20 mile beginner-friendly Silver Course, to the more challenging 40 mile Gold and 60 mile Tungsten Courses, to the new 107 mile Ultra Course. A challenge for even the fittest of athletes, the new Ultra Course tops out at 10,500’ and includes over 13,000’ of climbing. All courses start in the eclectic mountain town of Nederland, Colorado.

Race registration will continue until the race sells out. Registration fees will increase on May 1.
