In recent years, Ananda has taken concrete steps to reduce the environmental impact of its operations — not only within its factories, but across the entire company. As a leading e-drive solution expert, Ananda produces around 7 million motors each year that replace short car trips, saving an estimated 2–3 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually. For Ananda, sustainability is not just a goal, it is how the company shapes the future of mobility.
Accelerating the clean energy transition
Ananda’s actions go beyond compliance, offering real value for partners looking to integrate into every link of their supply chain:
⚫Clean energy transition: in 2024, Ananda generated 303,000 kWh of solar power; the Wuxi factory will run on 100% green energy by 2026, with Green Factory certification underway.
⚫Science-based climate goals: signed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligning with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C trajectory.
⚫Industry 4.0 factories: MES-driven monitoring, intelligent warehouses, and 100+ digital traceability points improve efficiency, cut waste, and provide transparency to OEM partners.
Quality and circularity are equally central. More rigorous lab and field testing has reduced failure rates and replacements, lowering waste and lifecycle emissions. In Hungary, a dedicated service center repairs and refurbishes motors, extending lifespan and reducing raw material use. Packaging is redesigned around renewable, recyclable, and reusable formats, drastically cutting single-use waste for brands and dealers.
Additional measures include:
⚫CBAM ready: Supporting European partners with carbon footprint disclosure requirements.
⚫Recyclability & recycled content: New material innovations reduce reliance on virgin resources.
⚫Certified management systems – Ananda’s approach is backed by ISO standards for quality, environment, safety, energy efficiency and carbon footprint, plus BSCI for fair labor and TÜV for independent testing.
⚫Workplace responsibility: 97 safety and ergonomics upgrades ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Sustainability at Ananda also means responsibility for people. The company is committed to providing safe and supportive workplaces for all employees, while one-third of board management positions are now held by women — underlining Ananda’s dedication to inclusion and diversity.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, Ananda is developing an internal ESG framework to support annual sustainability reporting and setting science-based emissions reduction targets for the entire organization. At the same time, the company is expanding its programs for repair, refurbishment and component reuse, while advancing new motor technologies that reduce dependency on rare earth materials and improve energy efficiency
