(VANCOUVER, WA - September 17, 2025) - Following the acquisition of Spank Industries by manufacturer Glory Wheel, the company has hired industry veterans Patrick Kaye as Product Manager, Greg Townsend as Creative Lead/Designer, Riccardo Cavalera as European Sales Manager, and Chris Currie as Global Marketing Manager. With major expansion plans ahead and production in Taiwan, Italy, and Vietnam, the company will also be adding a U.S. base of operations for Spank Industries.
Patrick Kaye's extensive experience includes seventeen years as the Sr. Product Manager of GT Bicycles in addition to brand and product management work at Vans, Pacific Cycle, and Cycling Sports Group. "Joining Spank Industries is an incredible opportunity to build on a legacy of innovation and performance," PK said. Greg Townsend joins us from Evil Bikes where he served as a lead designer, providing industrial design direction and creative strategy for the past eight years."I'm excited to be a part of the next phase of Spank Industries and build on the legacy of this brand. Based in Italy, Riccardo Cavalera was born into the bike industry, growing up in Cavalera Cicli–his father's frame-building company and bike shop. He brings over a decade of sales experience across all levels of the industry, having worked with Gist Italia, Focus Italia Group, Pon Group, Graf Works, and co-managed the Cavalera Cicli brand. "I'm stoked to be part of this new team, which has the perfect chemistry to elevate the Spank brand to the top, just as its legacy deserves."
Chris Currie founded online bike shop Speedgoat Bicycles, served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Velotech, managed marketing as the Creative Director at Stan's, and most recently designed bicycle suspension systems and frames with his company Ministry Cycles. "Spank has a history of making great bike parts and taking care of customers," said Currie. "This is a brand that listens to riders, and I am beyond excited to be a part of what's ahead."
The new members of the team join Spank Brand Director, Tyler Enyedi, as the company finalizes relocation and prepares to launch several new products over the next twelve months.
