25th September 2025 – Hastings, UK: Following a rigorous independent audit of its eBike safety testing, quality processes, policies and legal compliance, Whyte Bikes Ltd. (Whyte) is proud to confirm that it is has been listed on the UK cycling industry's national trade body, the Bicycle Association's, inaugural E-Bike Safety Register.
Inclusion in the register is independent recognition of Whyte's commitment to the very highest levels of safety, legal and regulatory standards, including those related to battery fire safety and road legal performance.
E-Bike Safety Register listing gives further assurance to boost consumer confidence in consideration and purchase of Whyte's high quality, legal and very safe Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) eBikes.
The Bicycle Association audit also rigorously checked Whyte's good business practices in quality management, battery handling and storage, and much more.
"Whyte is proud to be to registered with the BA as it leads the way in driving up awareness of safe eBikes," said Whyte Product Director Andy Jeffries of the news. "The Whyte team have worked diligently and with dedication to make sure we produce eBikes to the highest international standards. This is made possible by working exclusively with our partners, such as Bosch, to only build bikes with full systems. From the very first design conversation we always have safety at the top of our agenda," continued Jeffries, "to give our customers the assurance that when they buy a Whyte, they're investing in an eBike with the highest legal and safety standards for total peace of mind."

About the E-Bike Safey Register
The Bicycle Association's E-Bike Safety Register has been created to help safeguard the eBike sector in the face of serious safety incidents overwhelmingly caused by dangerously substandard or illegal products, and the associated mainstream media coverage that erodes consumer trust by often failing to distinguish between safe, legally compliant EAPCs and dangerous, illegal and sub-standard products.
