INDUSTRY UNITE: Two Transformative Days Where Bicycle Retail's Future Takes Shape

WHISTLER, BC — The National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) announced today its partnership with Crankworx to host the 2026 NBDA Retailer Summit Canada, July 29-30, at the Maury Young Arts Centre in Whistler, British Columbia. This strategic collaboration brings together North America's most forward-thinking Speciality Bicycle Retailers and Industry Suppliers during one of mountain biking's premier celebrations.

The NBDA Retailer Summit Canada represents more than a conference—it's a rallying point where hundreds of passionate retailers unite with industry suppliers to share breakthrough strategies, solve real challenges, and forge connections that drive lasting profitability.

"We're thrilled to bring this vital gathering to Canada and support our vibrant Canadian retail community," said Heather Mason, NBDA Executive Director. "By partnering with Crankworx and hosting the Summit in Whistler during this iconic festival, we're creating an unprecedented opportunity for retailers to learn, connect, and immerse themselves in the energy and innovation that defines our industry. This is about strengthening the specialty bicycle retail channel across North America and celebrating the community that makes it all possible."

The timing is strategic. Held in conjunction with Crankworx Whistler (July 24-August 2), attendees can extend their experience beyond the boardroom and onto the trails, witnessing world-class competition and industry innovation firsthand.

"Partnering with the NBDA to bring the retail community together during Crankworx Whistler is a natural fit," said Darren Kinnaird, Managing Director of the Crankworx World Tour. "For more than two decades, Crankworx has been the annual homecoming of the global mountain bike community - the pulse of our culture. Welcoming the industry's retail leaders into that atmosphere strengthens its momentum and creates powerful synergy."

THE SUMMIT EXPERIENCE

Main Stage Power Sessions: Industry-leading retailers and visionary partners deliver battle-tested insights across both days—proven strategies attendees can implement immediately to drive profitability and growth.

Interactive Flow Sessions: Afternoon collaborative workshops connect retailers facing similar challenges. Participants problem-solve together, exchange real-world experiences, and develop actionable tactics to elevate their businesses in 2026 and beyond.

Meaningful Connections: Network with specialty retailers who share your passion and drive. These relationships become partnerships and support systems that fuel success long after Whistler.
