PeopleForBikes announced that Giant Group CEO Phoebe Liu, Specialized Bicycle Components Founder Mike Sinyard, and Trek Bicycle President John Burke will attend and speak at the 2026 Bicycle Leadership Conference (BLC), taking place March 17–19 in Dana Point, California.

The Bicycle Leadership Conference is the industry's annual forum for collaboration and action, bringing together senior leaders from brands, retailers, suppliers, and adjacent industries to address the biggest challenges and opportunities facing bicycling and the bike business. The keynote sessions, leadership lessons, and candid conversations are designed to inspire industry collaboration, foster new ideas, and chart a path for a better shared future.

At the 2026 BLC, Liu, Sinyard, and Burke will each contribute distinct perspectives reflecting their leadership priorities, experience, and views on what's next for growing bicycling and strengthening the bike industry.

Liu will address responsible manufacturing and the role of global supply chains in supporting a resilient and sustainable bicycle industry.

Sinyard will focus on the next generation of cyclists, including the importance of expanding access and opportunities for youth participation as a foundation for the industry's long-term health.

Burke will present the James L. Oberstar Awards for Outstanding Advocacy Leadership, which honors exceptional individuals who advance bicycle safety and access. The award is named for the late U.S. Congressman James Oberstar, whose decades-long leadership secured significant federal investment in bicycling infrastructure.

"These leaders are helping set the tone for honest, meaningful conversations at a critical moment for our industry," said Jenn Dice, president and CEO of PeopleForBikes. "The Bicycle Leadership Conference is where we come together to share perspective, learn from one another, and collectively navigate our very real challenges to strengthen the bike business."

Key topics at the BLC will align with PeopleForBikes' 2026 Workplan priorities, including investment in better industry data insights, protecting U.S. bike businesses from harmful trade disruptions, supporting domestic manufacturing and assembly, and creating stable policy and regulatory frameworks for electric bicycles, public lands access, and bicycling safety.

Liu, Sinyard, and Burke join a growing list of industry leaders already committed to attending the conference. The BLC gives leaders from across the industry a seat at the table as insights into our strongest headwinds, better data on market trends, and what to expect moving forward shape priorities and define collective action. The 2026 Bicycle Leadership Conference is again expected to sell out and welcome more than 300 senior leaders from across the bicycle industry.
