WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 9, 2026) — Registration is open for the League of American Bicyclists’ 2026 National Bike Summit, the premier gathering of cycling industry leaders and bicycling advocates, being held March 24-26, 2026, in Washington, DC.
The three-day event features distinguished keynote speakers, topical breakout sessions, and our signature Lobby Day on Capitol Hil on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Lobby Day connects hundreds of advocates, changemakers, and business leaders with their representatives in Congress to educate lawmakers about the importance of building a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone.
“The National Bike Summit serves as the bicycling community's most important advocacy event of the year,” said Bil Nesper, executive director of the League of American Bicyclists. “The Summit and Lobby Day provide a crucial forum for industry professionals, business owners, non-profit leaders, and grassroots advocates to colectively shape federal policy affecting bicycling across America.”
Keynote speakers at the 2026 National Bike Summit include Amy Walter, publisher and editor-in-chief of The Cook Political Report; Doug Gordon and Sarah Goodyear, authors of Life After Cars and co-hosts of the War on Cars podcast; and Commissioner Rodney Elis, from precinct one of Harris County, Texas.
At a pivotal moment for the future of the nation’s transportation system, the 2026 Summit offers attendees opportunities to:
Build Relationships with Elected Officials – Participants meet face-to-face with members of Congress and their staff, establishing essential lines of communication to address pressing issues affecting bicycling and the industry. Recent chalenges such as Section 232 tariffs have underscored the importance of having these direct connections to Washington decision-makers in place ahead of critical moments.
Shape the 2026 Transportation Bill – With a transportation reauthorization bil on the congressional agenda this spring, Summit attendees wil be speaking up for bicycling at the same time lawmakers are taking steps to solidify bil language. Lobby Day wil be a significant opportunity to advocate for increased funding for investments that make bicycling safer and easier for everyone.
Amplify Our Collective Voice – By forging strategic partnerships across the bicycling movement—from manufacturers and retailers to advocacy organizations and urban planners—attendees strengthen our ability to mobilize quickly and effectively, ensuring maximum impact when mobilizing for the chalenges ahead.
"The work the League does is vital for the cycling industry,” said Rob Cappucci, SRAM Director of Advocacy and Industry Partnerships. “Over the past year, we've seen how essential strong relationships with Congressional leaders are, not only to advance our shared interests, but to also protect them. The Bike Summit's Lobby Day offers a unique and powerful opportunity to build and strengthen those connections, and we encourage our industry peers to join us in DC."
