New bikepacking-focused TWIST uni connector XL and TWIST vario base help riders carry more gear.

Hanover, Germany, — FIDLOCK continues expanding its innovative TWIST magnetic-mechanical mounting system with two new solutions designed specifically for gravel riders and bikepacking adventurers. The new TWIST uni connector XL ($59.99) and TWIST vario base ($29.99) give riders more flexible, secure, and minimalist ways to carry gear. As bikepacking, gravel riding, and adventure cycling continue to grow, riders are constantly seeking smarter ways to carry gear without adding clutter or complexity. FIDLOCK is expanding its innovative TWIST magnetic-mechanical mounting system with two new products designed to give riders more flexibility and freedom on every ride.

While maintaining the clean, minimalist design that defines the TWIST system. The TWIST uni connector XL transforms the TWIST system from hydration-focused mounting into a versatile cargo platform. Combining FIDLOCK’s magnetic-mechanical connector with a durable cargo plate and integrated straps, the uni connector XL allows riders to securely attach larger gear, including dry bags, sleeping systems, extra layers, and hydration setups.

The system connects quickly and removes just as easily using FIDLOCK’s intuitive twist-release motion, eliminating the need to wrestle with traditional straps or complicated mounting hardware during rides.

The TWIST vario base expands mounting options across the bike. Featuring four slotted mounting holes and multiple installation options, the vario base can be mounted using traditional frame bolts or cable ties, allowing riders to utilize previously unused frame or fork space.

Compatible with all TWIST accessories, the vario base allows riders to customize their setup depending on gear needs, bike design, and riding style — especially valuable for gravel, endurance, and backcountry adventure riding.

FIDLOCK Gravel rider and experienced bikepacker Wiebke Lühmann has relied on FIDLOCK’s TWIST system across numerous expeditions and credits the technology for simplifying gear management on demanding trips.

“When you’re traveling by bike, every detail matters,” said Lühmann. “You need equipment that is lightweight, reliable, and easy to use when conditions change. FIDLOCK’s mounting system stays secure even on rough terrain, while keeping setups clean and simple. That reliability allows you to focus on the experience, not your gear.”

Expanding the TWIST collection is 4 new Fidguard styles, the new compact 550 bottle, the 590 Motion Blue bottle, and new colored components. All will be available in the US this coming April.
