Free Half-Day Summit Invites Women and Gender-Diverse Professionals in the Cycling Industry to Connect, Learn, and Build Community

BENTONVILLE, AR - APRIL 30, 2026 - The National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) is proud to announce the Women in the Bicycle Industry (WIBI) Summit Central, taking place Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 1–5 PM CT at the 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville, 200 NE A St, Bentonville, Arkansas.

WIBI Summit Central is a free, afternoon workshop designed to support, connect, and elevate women and gender-diverse professionals across the cycling industry. Open to women, trans, femme, and non-binary individuals working in or connected to the cycling industry, the WIBI Summit will briing together bicycle retailers, mechanics, brand leaders, advocates, and industry professionals for an afternoon of conversation, learning, and community building.

"At the WIBI workshops in Chicago, we saw firsthand the impact of bringing people together who don't always see themselves reflected in the industry," said NBDA Programs Developer Megan Schmidt. "In creating dedicated space for connection, visibility, and honest conversation among women and gender-diverse professionals in the industry, WIBI Summit Central will help attendees build meaningful relationships, feel recognized in their work, and walk away with practical tools to navigate and grow within the bicycle industry."

Summit programming includes:

● Keynote Speakers
● Industry Panels with bike shop owners and staff, mechanics, and professionals sharing real-world career insights
● Breakout Sessions for in-depth peer conversations and shared experiences
● Networking opportunities throughout the afternoon to meet peers and build community

The WIBI Summit coincides with the NBDA Retailer Summit Central held June 9 -11, and the Bentonville Bike Fest running June 9 - 14, offering attendees a full week of cycling events, industry networking, and community engagement in one of the nation's premier cycling destinations.
