The Iowa Bike Expo is a consumer-facing event for bike industry, retailers, event managers, and destination promoters. The Iowa Bike Expo, a business to consumer expo, is a huge gathering of cycling enthusiasts, bicycle shops, industry experts, destination guides, and so much more. The event was started in 2013 and is held each January on the same day at the RAGBRAI Route Announcement Party.
Over 6,000 people attend this one-day event to experience all things bicycle. The attendees are real customers who shop at independent bike dealers. A festival type atmosphere encourages cyclists to visit over 150 vendor booths, take a spin on a test bike, grab a beer and a bite, or listen to live music.
The event is run by the Iowa Bicycle Coalition as a benefit for bicycle advocacy.
