42TH EDITION OF THE ROC D’AZUR CIC!
Since 1984 and the very first edition imagined by Stéphane Hauvette with just seven participants, the Roc d’Azur CIC has become a must-attend event, bringing together over 20,000 participants, 300 exhibitors, and nearly 100,000 visitors over five days each year.
Based since 1997 across the Base Nature François Léotard in Fréjus, Roquebrune-sur-Argens and Saint-Raphaël, the event showcases the full breadth of the territory with routes crossing the Maures and Estérel massifs, from the coastline to the Var hinterland. Roquebrune-sur-Argens also hosts several race starts, including trail runsand mountain bike or hiking routes, now firm favourites among nature and outdoor sports enthusiasts. Now recognised as the world’s leading mountain biking event, the Roc d’Azur celebrates the cycling world every October—starting with the thousands of amateur riders who travel from all over France and 50 different countries.
From the Maures to the Estérel, the sea to the hills, the region’s landscapes have all played their part in writing the story of this iconic event.
