FARMINGTON, Utah (BRAIN) — Vista Outdoor sales were down 6.6 percent in its most recent quarter and in an earnings call Thursday company executives gave some insights on their plans to sell off its Bell, Giro and Blackburn brands.
SAN MATEO, Calif. (BRAIN) — GoPro, Inc. announced second quarter sales of $283 million, down 5 percent from the same period last year, but up 40 percent compared to Q1. The company — which claims it holds a 97 percent share by dollar in the U.S.
MONTRÉAL (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries said Friday that its bike business rebounded in the second quarter with revenue up $15.5 million or 7.4 percent to $224.5 million.

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox Factory, which offers Fox suspension, Marzocchi, Easton cycling and Race Face products in the cycling market, saw a 15.1 percent increase in sales of bike products in the second quarter.

OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin saw a 24 percent increase in sales in its fitness division (which includes its bike products) in the second quarter this year, and has seen a 23 percent increase year to date.
OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — Robust European e-bike sales and an average year for bike sales in North America led to a 6.8 percent sales increase in Shimano's bike division in the first half of 2018, the company said Monday.

HELSINKI (BRAIN) — Amer Sports, owner of Enve and Mavic, reported Thursday that sales in its cycling division were down 13 percent in the first half of 2018, to 60 million euros ($70 million). In the second quarter, sales in the division were down 11 percent.
HEERENVEEN, Netherlands (BRAIN) — Accell Group announced flat sales for the first half of 2018, with North American sales down sharply over the same period last year due to the loss of Dick's Sporting Goods sales.

MONTRÉAL (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries, which operates three divisions including home, juvenile and sports businesses, reported that Toys R Us' liquidation impacted all three, resulting in a first-quarter impairment loss of $12.5 million total — about $2.1 million in home, $3.8 million in juvenile and $6.6 million in its sports segment, which includes its bike brands.

SAN MATEO, Calif. (BRAIN) — GoPro on Thursday posted a narrower-than-expected first-quarter loss on strong sell-through of its Hero5 Black and Hero6 Black action cameras.
