MONTREAL (BRAIN) — The bike division at Dorel Industries saw revenues grow 18 percent during the first quarter, with gross profit and operating profit also up 17 and 71 percent, respectively. Officials pointed to better sales and cost control for the improvement over last year.

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox Factory sales increased 2.2 percent to $56.1 million over the first quarter, up from $54.9 million last year. But sales of mountain bike products decreased 4.4 percent , offset by a 14.1 percent increase in sales of powered vehicle products.

OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin on Wednesday reported double-digit growth in first-quarter revenue for all business segments except automotive/mobile, where declining demand for personal navigation devices dragged sales down 4 percent compared with a year earlier.

SEATTLE (BRAIN) — Specialty outdoor retailer and member co-op REI has reported record annual sales of $2 billion for 2013. According to its year-end earnings statement, the company's sales were up 5.9 percent from $1.9 billion in 2012.

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — CamelBak's sales for 2013 were $139.9 million, a decrease of $17.7 million compared to its sales of $157.6 million in 2012. Sales of hydration systems fell $17.2 million, and sales of gloves fell $5.5 million, while the company's bottle and accessories sales increased $4.8 million.
