Published February 3, 2020

DENVER (BRAIN) — Challenge Tires rolled out its new North American focus at QBP's FrostBike event here last week. The tire brand has hired industry veteran Chris Clinton as their North American Director.

Clinton most recently served as Hwa Fong Rubber's product marketing manager, where he steered their private label and contract bicycle tire production as well as supporting their own brands across multiple vehicle categories. He is also a former brand manager for Bontrager at Trek and is active in local cycling advocacy efforts.

Clinton will be responsible for expanding Challenge's presence in North America while assisting with both brand and product development.

Alex Brauns, Challenge Tires' founder, said, "We are excited to have Chris join our family. His passion for cycling is contagious. And his experience will be key as we enhance our tire line."

"I am looking forward to working with Alex and the Challenge team," Clinton said. "They offer unique production capabilities allowing for quick responses to the market. And they have a desire to improve riding experiences thru premium quality tires."

Besides QBP, Challenge tires are distributed in North America by Bicycle Technologies International, Hawley-Lambert Cycles, Cycles Marinoni, Trek Bicycles, Hoss Active Sports, Great Western, and Provision Cycling. Clinton said the company also makes some of its more obscure models available directly to dealers from Challenge North America.

Challenge Tires are also available direct thru Challenge North America. For more information visit challengetires.com.
