Parlee sells out of T-shirts created to raise money for Ukraine relief efforts

Published March 22, 2022

BEVERLY, Mass. (BRAIN) — Parlee Cycles has sold out of T-shirts created to promote solidarity with Ukraine and to aid in humanitarian relief efforts in the war-torn country.

All proceeds from the sale of the $35 shirts go to the International Rescue Committee Rescue.org relief organization. A Parlee spokesperson told BRAIN Tuesday the company hopes to send a "sizable four-figure donation at least." Parlee is accepting pre-orders and expects to have more shirts available Thursday.

The shirts went on sale in the first week of March and sold out within 24-48 hours. The spokesperson said Parlee doubled its original order booking and likely will continue making them for the foreseeable future.

The company added a $5 Ukraine relief-Parlee logo sticker Tuesday.

"We were floored by the immediate response to our efforts and thrilled to see so many other bike companies also launch initiatives to support the millions of displaced people," Parlee founder Bob Parlee told BRAIN on Tuesday.
