OGC Adds On to Montréal Warehouse

Published November 18, 2011

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC (BRAIN)—Outdoor Gear Canada now has 40,000 square feet of additional space to house inventory at its Montréal LEED-certified headquarters.

The distributor recently finished the addition, bringing its total capacity to 142,000 square feet at the Montréal facility, plus its western Canadian warehouse and service center in Vancouver, British Columbia.

OGC grew out of the Montréal warehouse three years after moving in, said Jean Cloutier, vice president of operations and finance.

"We see the industry and our business continuing to grow not in spite of but, in part, because of the weak general economic condition," said Rob White, vice president of sales. "Cycling, in particular, is such a healthy, enjoyable and inexpensive activity. It's also gaining momentum as a means of transportation in our cities and towns. And outdoor and snow businesses are also growing."

The 33-year-old OGC is the exclusive Canadian distributor for Easton Bell Sports, CamelBak, Finish Line/White Lightning, GoPro, JoyTrax, Kryptonite, Mavic, Profile Design, Speedplay, Thule, Vittoria, BMC and Opus.
