Extreme Pro Road

Taking all of the advantages from the Extreme RR, Northwave elevates its road performance shoe to the next level with the Extreme Pro Road. It features a double dose of Northwave's exclusive closure system connected to two SLW2 dials allowing for micro adjustments at the neck of the foot as well as at the upper.

Featuring Dyneema wire for greater comfort, the XFrame system enables the rider to customize their fit on the go, removing any pressure points that may arise as the rider’s physiology adjusts and their environment changes over the course of a ride.

The Extreme Pro’s comfortable and snug fit allows for greater efficiency when paired with the performance of the all-new Powershape Carbon 15 sole of Northwave’s top-level road shoes.

Northwave’s patented XFrame technology makes pressure points a thing of the past, thanks to an upper construction made of new generation materials: inner mesh for increased comfort, a stiffened mid layer for even support, and a 0.5 mm highly wear-resistant outer film for protection. Rubber inserts in the areas more exposed to scratches and blows act as additional protection for the upper and the foot.

  • Powershape Carbon 15 Sole.
  • XFrame 2 with Double SLW2 Dial: Snuggest fit, no pressure.
  • Closure differentiation between neck and upper of the foot.
  • Available in black and white.
  • $399.99 MSRP.

Ghost Pro XC

Building on all of the advantages of the Ghost XC, Northwave takes its cross country performance shoe to the next level with its exclusive XFrame closure system connected to two SLW2 dials, allowing for micro adjustments at the neck of the foot as well as at the upper. Featuring Dyneema wire for greater comfort, the XFrame system enables the rider to customize their fit on the go removing any pressure points that may arise as the rider’s physiology adjusts and their environment changes over the course of a ride.

The Ghost Pro’s comfort and snug fit allows for greater efficiency and are paired with the performance of the Hyperlight XC sole — co-developed with Michelin Technical Soles — to make up Northwave’s top level mountain bike shoes.

Northwave’s patented XFrame technology makes pressure points a thing of the past, thanks to an upper construction made of new generation materials: inner mesh for increased comfort, a stiffened mid-layer for even more support, and a 0.5 mm highly wear-resistant outer film for protection. In addition, rubber inserts in the areas more exposed to scratches and blows act as additional protection for the upper and the foot.

Another major asset is the Hyperlight XC outsole, inspired by Michelin Wild Race’r mountain bike tire, another product of the established cooperation between Northwave and Michelin Technical Soles. Fully realized in unidirectional carbon fiber, Hyperlight XC is the outcome of biomechanical studies to locate materials only where actually needed for maximum efficiency.

The sole’s sculptures are realized through the innovative Dual Layers Compound Technology, combining two compound layers with different characteristics: the first provides maximum flexibility, acting like an independent suspension, while the second is tougher and more resistant, for improved traction and endurance. Aggressive sculpture in the toe and heel areas provide the ideal grip and traction, while the side sculptures are there to guarantee stability, and are melted into the soles structure for resistance.

  • XFrame 2 with Double SLW2 Dial: Snuggest fit, no pressure.
  • Closure differentiation between neck and upper of the foot.
  • Hyperlight XC Sole.
  • Two-layer Michelin rubber for optimum power transfer and grip.
  • 100% UD Carbon.
  • Ultrathin abrasion-resistant reinforcements.
  • Available in black and white.
  • $399.99 MSRP.
