TerraTrike rolls out a replacement for its Rover model: the Maverick

Published January 23, 2020

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (BRAIN) — TerraTrike's new Maverick model will replace the Rover, which sold more than 16,000 units in its 10-year run.

The Maverick is 5 pounds lighter thatn its predecessor and is compatible with an electric assist Boost Kit. It also has updated styling and more competitive pricing.

"While TerraTrike continues to elevate the trike market with innovations in electric assist, touring and pinnacle performance, we can't ignore the need to continue growing the sport, to remove barriers to entry for potential trike riders," said TerraTrike's director of sales and marketing, Marshall Randall. "Today's entry-level trike shoppers are tomorrow's RAGBRAI riders, trike packers and daily commuters."

The Maverick is offered with a internally geared 3- or 8-speed drivetrain, or externally geared 8 speed. All iterations feature a direct drivetrain. Maverick MSRP ranges from $999 to $1,399.
