State Bicycle’s Undefeated goes geared with electronic shifting

Published January 28, 2020

TEMPE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — State Bicycle Co. unveils the Undefeated Road, its second geared bike and first performance road bike.

Available with two build options or as a frameset, the Undefeated Road features 7005 double-butted aluminum tubing, an oversized tapered head tube and a full carbon fork.

State paired the frameset with a choice of SRAM Force AXS or SRAM Apex with 1x or 2x chainring options. Subtle rainbow flake clearcoat with black build kits and trim highlight the look. The Undefeated Road eschews the trend of dropped seat stays and aero tubing for a traditional diamond silhouette.

SRAM Force AXS — MSRP: $2,899.99

The SRAM Force eTap AXS Drivetrain features electronic shifting and a 10-33T cassette. Riders can choose SRAM's 1x system or the wider range 2x crankset. DT Swiss P1800 wheels feature a tubeless-ready aluminum rim, complemented with a DT Swiss hub system and bladed spokes and aluminum nipples.

SRAM Apex 1 — MSRP: $1,299.99

Offering a 1x11 drivetrain paired with an 11-32T cassette, the Apex 1 build provides a gear range to meet the challenges of the road. The build includes the SRAM DoubleTap shifter and Mavic Aksium wheels with Michelin Dynamic Sport tires. State’s Black Label 31.8mm handlebar and stem highlight the cockpit.

Frameset — MSRP: $649.99

Included are a full carbon fiber fork with tapered steerer tube and a fully sealed FSA integrated headset.
