State Bicycle Co. introduces the 4130 All-Road

Published June 4, 2020

TEMPE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — State Bicycle Co.'s new 4130 All-Road blends gravel, commuting and touring into one sub-$1,000 model. With options for 700c or 650b wheels, 11-speed drivetrain and accessory mounts, the All-Road offers versatility and a five-year warranty.

The Frame

Built from 4130 chromoly steel to be durable and compliant, the All-Road features several mounts for rack, fender, bottle-cage, and cargo-carrying options. Geometry is tailored to be comfortable for long days in the saddle on and off the road. Two frame colors and four sizes are offered, and the frame uses thru-axles with 100/142 spacing. Tire clearance is a maximum 700x45 or 650x50.

Wheels and tires

The All-Road comes standard with a choice of tubeless-compatible 700c wheels with 38mm tires or 650b with 1.9 tires. Panaracer Gravel King tires are standard for both sizes.

State offers consumers the option to get both wheelsets for an extra $349.99. Ordering both includes separate rotors, cassettes, tires and tubes. According to State, "commute to work with the 700c wheelset Monday-Friday, and ride the trails on the 650b wheels on the weekends."

State’s gone geared again

The All-Road comes with a custom 1x11 component group. The crank is a narrow-wide All-Road Crank (previously seen on the new Undefeated Road), with 42t chainring matched with an 11-42t cassette.
