WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — GT Bicycles blends BMX style with urban mobility to create a line of 29ers designed for cruising and commuting: the Street Performer and Power Performer.

Both models feature nine speeds, disc brakes, and alloy construction, including the fork, with a "floating frame stander seatstays" to absorb bumps. Each comes in a choice of two colors and is offered in one size. The frames are bottle, rack, and fender ready, and have plate dropouts for peg use.

The Street Performer ($1,120 MSRP) is a pedal bike, while the Power Performer ($2,225 MSRP) is a hub-driven e-bike with a maximum assist of 20 mph. The Power Performer also features a 1.5-watt USB charging port. The 36v/418wh downtube battery is removable for charging and lockable for added security.
