WATERBURY, Vt. (BRAIN) — Mavic upgraded its Cosmic SLR 45 wheelset with ceramic bearings that the company said offer 28% less friction and its adaptive layup construction saves 70 grams per rim.
The Cosmic SLR 45-23mm hooked, tubeless, and tapeless wheelset has a 23mm internal and 32mm external rim widths, with recommended tire sizes between 28mm and 32mm. Wheelset weight is listed at 1,480 grams (675 grams front wheel, 805 grams back wheel).
Both are built with 24 stainless steel aero spokes with ID360 hubs. A 40-tooth upgrade is available. Driver compatibility includes HG-R, XDR, and Campagnolo. MSRP: $2,729.
