BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Stowe, a new bicycle accessories brand based in California and Colorado, has launched its flagship product: the bike trunk. The trunk is lockable, waterproof storage for the rear rack of a bike.
The company said it is big enough to hold a full grocery bag or a 15-inch laptop and attaches to any standard rear rack via a patent-pending bottom grid design.
"Now you can do more on your bike than you could with panniers or a milk crate. Bring a gym bag to work, stop at the library after the farmer’s market, or always have a rain jacket and flat kit stored on your bike just in case," the company said.
It’s manufactured with partially recycled polycarbonate and features a built-in combination lock. The company said "competitive margins" are available to retail partners. MSRP is $250.
