Castelli, Serotta to Co-Brand Apparel

Published October 16, 2007

PORTLAND, OR (BRAIN)—If you’re a fan of Serotta bicycles and the Castelli scorpion, you’re in luck. The two brands have teamed up to craft a collection of Serotta-branded cycling apparel.

The co-branded “Serotta Collection by Castelli” features Castelli-designed men’s and women’s jerseys, shorts, bibshorts and accessories—all inspired, influenced and approved by Serotta. The line is born from Castelli’s acclaimed Rosso Corsa line, including the Free Bibshort, which features a more open front for improved comfort and cooling than traditional bibshort designs.

“This is an ideal partnership,” said Greg Cowan, president of Castelli USA. “Castelli and Serotta share the same philosophy and dedication to designing the most innovative products for cyclists seeking maximum performance. Serotta and the Scorpion will fit well together. If you’re a Serotta enthusiast—and there are many around the world—this collection lets you affirm your devotion to the brand.

“Castelli and Serotta have spent decades defining what it means to ride,” said Serotta founder Ben Serotta. “Both companies draw on a long-standing road-cycling heritage. To be in partnership with such a like-minded company as Castelli is the next logical step on the journey we began in a simple frame-building shop more than thirty years ago.”
