Storck Bicycle Gears Up for U.S. Tour

Published March 20, 2008

LEXINGTON, SC (BRAIN)—Storck Bicycle is in final preparations for its upcoming, seven month tour of the United States.

The tour will begin with Sea Otter in April and will end with the East Coast Demo in October. In between there will be over 20 other major events and a countless number of dealer visits and store rides.

The lengthy tour is designed to promote the exclusive, German bike brand and the dealers that support it. While being a relatively new brand in the States, Storck Bicycle is well known in Europe and its Fascenario model was recently proven to be the lightest and stiffest bike on the market, according to Germany’s Tour Magazine.

“There has been an incredible amount of consumer and dealer interest in the brand, especially in the last few months," said Derrick Boatwright, brand manager for Storck Bicycle in the U.S. “Between the tour and our aggressive marketing plans for 2008, there is every reason to believe the brand is positioned for a dramatic increase in popularity here in the U.S."

Another reason why the team at Storck Bicycle is excited about 2008 is the upcoming release of the Absolutist model. The bike is expected to arrive in the States by late spring and will be available as a complete bike with top tier components and a competitive price.

“The new model will offer all the exclusiveness and quality of the Storck brand, but at a price that will allow more people to finally own their dream bike," Boatwright said.
