Bike Expo 2010 to be Held in July

Published September 2, 2009

MUNICH, Germany (BRAIN)—Bike Expo 2010 will be held from July 22 to July 25. The dates were confirmed in several meetings with industry representatives.

“There are many factors that speak for scheduling the event just before the primary vacation period: for one, the marketing process for new products is pushed forward. The first contact with business partners and initial product and collection introductions happen more often in early summer. On the other hand, the task of the exposition is the presentation of innovations. An early trade show date is a logical consequence to provide the industry with a comprehensive information platform at the right time, at the same time fueling the consumers’ passion for cycling immediately before the start of the summer vacations. This directly benefits cycling retailers,” said Klaus Dittrich, general manager, Messe München GmbH.

For the second Bike Expo the topic of urban mobility will continue to play a central role and will be further expanded. Bike Expo's entire hall at the 2010 event is already exclusively reserved for the segment of electro mobility. In cooperation with ExtraEnergy e.V. the event will feature a number of retailer training sessions and several new test tracks. The plans include a speed track for ambitious athletic cyclists, as well as another demo track catering to the wishes of fans of leisure and relaxed biking.
