Mavic’s Burke Promoted to New Position

Published May 20, 2010

HAVERHILL, MA (BRAIN)—Mavic has promoted Larry Burke to the newly created position of national sales manager. Burke, who has been Mavic’s longtime OEM sales manager, now also will handle aftermarket sales.

Mavic general manager Mark Leydecker previously led the company’s aftermarket sales, but his workload made it difficult to push aftermarket products.

“Mark wears a lot of different hats and it’s sometimes difficult to focus on selling with other company responsibilities requiring attention,” said Sean Sullivan, Mavic’s marketing director. “Larry taking over aftermarket sales will better support the needs of our dealers and reps.”

Burke joined Mavic in 2000 and has grown the company’s North American OEM sales exponentially over the years. He’s also been integral to Mavic’s international OEM sales efforts based in Annecy, France.

“For the past 10 years in OEM sales at Mavic I’ve had the great privilege to work with some really incredible people from within the industry,” Burke said. “I look at this new position as a way to expand on that with the opportunity to work more closely with our top notch outside sales force and a great network of dealers.”
