Tieman Replaces Glazer at Marin

NOVATO, CA (BRAIN)—Marin Bikes has promoted Aaron Tieman to national sales manager, replacing Steve Glazer.

Glazer, who had been with Marin for 10 years, chose to pursue opportunities outside the industry, according to a press release.

Tieman (pictured) takes his new position after working at Marin for four years as inside accounts manager, specializing in new business acquisition with IBDs. Tieman’s previous experience was split between working in the multi-sport retail channel and with finance in the mortgage industry. An avid cyclist, Tieman’s strong financial background delivers added-service to dealers by developing sales programs that focus on margin and delivery.

“I’m excited with the opportunity to work with our revamped inside staff to pursue new business partnerships and grow our existing relationships within the Marin Bikes family,” Tieman said. “We’ve worked hard over the past few years to grow our sales and solidify our sales program with our current dealers. Dealers have been increasing their assortments and I want to bring this momentum to new retailers.”

Marin has also hired Alexis Colin as part of its inside sales department. Colin comes to Marin with a retail background in cycling and specialty sports. An accomplished road and mountain bike racer, Colin will service dealers in the Great Plains territory from North and South Dakota east through Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois in addition to southern states and Florida.
