Published April 12, 2011

CUPERTINO, CA (BRAIN)—Former president and CEO of Kestrel Bicycles, Kevin Kenney, has been hired as senior composites engineer at Apple.

Kenney has been working indirectly with Apple for years, according to an Apple news website. In fact, Apple filed a carbon fiber patent (click on above link) with his name on it in 2009.

According to the website, "Apple is likely looking at materials besides aluminum, stainless steel and glass to build their iOS devices and Macs."
