Craig 'Gork' Barrette Leaving SBS for ABA

Published June 1, 2011

KENT, WA (BRAIN)—Craig "Gork" Barrette is leaving Seattle Bike Supply after 11 years to join the American Bicycle Association (ABA) as its chief communications officer.

“All of us at SBS will really miss Gork,” said Chuck Hooper, SBS president. “He has been a great person to work with and has really helped SBS, Redline and our proprietary brands progress and grow over the past 11 years. We are all happy for Gork and wish him well in his new position."

Barrette will be working at SBS until June 17. SBS has not named anyone to take over Barrette’s marketing director position.

Prior to coming to work for Seattle Bike Supply and Redline in 1999, Barrette worked at the ABA throughout the '90s, as editor/photographer for BMXer, the ABA’s membership magazine.

As a longtime sponsor of the ABA through its Redline Cup series, SBS will continue to work closely with Barrette and the ABA.
