Niner Bikes Co-Founder Leaves Company

Published June 3, 2011

TORRANCE, CA (BRAIN)—Steve Domahidy, co-founder of Niner Bikes, has left the company.

Chris Sugai and Domahidy first conceived of the 29ers‐only company on their regular Wednesday evening ride and remain friends. The company was founded in 2004.

“I am proud of the work we have accomplished together," Domahidy said. “The business has grown from just two guys and an idea to a crew of passionate people who make great mountain bikes. Not many companies have the kind of success we have been fortunate to have."

Chris Sugai, co-founder and president of Niner Bikes, said the company would miss Steve’s energy and contributions. “Steve is a big part of our current success," he added.

Domahidy decided to leave at the end of his current contract but plans to stay in the industry. “Now is a great time for new challenges," he said.

He can be contacted via email at domahidy@gmail.com. Persons needing to contact Niner’s product development group should email chris@ninerbikes.com.
