Health+Fitness Business Expo Gaining Steam

Published June 6, 2011

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN)—Fitness and bicycle retailers alike are circling September 14-16 on their calendars in preparation to attend the 2011 Health+Fitness Business Expo (HFB), held in conjunction with the Interbike International Expo at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas.

“I go to the Health+Fitness Business Expo to connect face-to-face, shake hands and get the personal interaction with my vendors’ sales managers and company principals,” said Marty Scheller, of Scheller’s Fitness & Cycling in Louisville, Kentucky. “That really makes a difference in the success of my business. With HFB now combined with Interbike, it’s even more valuable and efficient for us.”

Many opportunities for face time and networking will be available with meetings and happy hours in the SNEWS/HFB Community Hub, a show-wide seminar schedule and a new product showcase.

Attending retailers can also expect to see the latest technology and product offerings from brands like BH North America, Body-Solid, Bodyguard, Diamondback, Fitness Master, GoFit, Johnson Health Tech companies, LeMond, Octane, PaceMaster, Power Plate, SPRI, Spirit, SportsArt, StairMaster, Vectra and Water Rower plus nearly 1,100 cycling industry brands.

Following a successful inaugural co-location of the sister shows in 2010, interest from crossover attendees prompted a new floor plan that moves HFB from an enclosed ballroom to a larger area immediately adjacent to the main entrance and registration areas. The new area will accommodate the 1,000-plus fitness and bicycle retailers expected to attend the show.

“Active individuals are bombing down a mountain bike trail on Saturday afternoon and fitting in an hour of indoor rowing early Wednesday morning,” said Andy Tompkins, HFB and Interbike show director. “The opportunity to provide customers with multiple pieces of equipment to meet their fitness and recreational needs is not lost on the enterprising independent dealer. Attending both Interbike and HFB is a one-stop-shop for retailers who are interested in exploring complementary product lines, and new opportunities to grow and expand their business.”

Buyers and attendees registered for either of the two shows will have access to both show floors and all events. Interested retailers can view the extensive lists of seminars available to HFB and Interbike attendees, view the exhibitor lists and register to attend at healthandfitnessbiz.com and interbike.com.
