Kendall Young Departs from Ritchey

Published July 19, 2011

SAN CARLOS, CA (BRAIN)—Ritchey Design director of North American sales Kendall Young has left the company to pursue new opportunities.

"A decade is a considerable tenure with any company and while this is a difficult decision, I sense the time is right for all,” Young said.

“My time at Ritchey has been invaluable in terms of deepening my working relationships with U.S. distributors and prominent OEM brands with both national and international reach," he added. "It has been especially rewarding to work closely with domestic OEMs to help them tell a compelling brand story and I expect to see those alliances bear fruit well into the future. It has been a pleasure to be associated with the Ritchey and Syncros brands and I see a bright future for both Ritchey Design and myself as I pursue further challenges within the industry."

Young joined Ritchey Design in February 2001 as distributor and national accounts sales manager, assumed additional responsibility for OEM sales in 2004, and was promoted to director of sales North America for Ritchey and Syncros brands in February of 2010. Prior to his decade at Ritchey, Young had a comprehensive 20-year sales management career working with REI, Raleigh Bicycles, Bridgestone Cycles U.S.A, Marin Bikes, Catalyst Communication and Topeak.

Young can now be reached at kjy2969@gmail.com or at (510) 290-0574.
