MONTEREY, CA (BRAIN) Friday April 20 2012 4:46 AM MT—Raleigh America on Thursday announced that it had promoted Chris Speyer to the position of executive vice president of product and marketing.

“In recognition of Speyer’s expanded role in Raleigh America’s growing business, Chris has made great contributions in brand strategy, resulting in Raleigh and Diamondback bicycle sales momentum,” said Steve Meineke, president of Raleigh America.

“The new position gives him even greater leeway to drive the programs such as MyCyclingEvent.com local dealer focus programs that he has successfully implemented.”

Speyer will assist Meineke and Chris Enoksen to integrate Raleigh’s “Can/Am” product and marketing, and drive global product range moves and branding initiatives with Raleigh, Diamondback and several sister companies and partners.

He will also continue his work with DTC, Raleigh Cycle Ltd.’s trading company, in establishing Raleigh America’s sourcing strategy and initiatives to provide its growing dealer base with quality bikes delivered on time.

Speyer starts his new role immediately and will continue to be based out of Raleigh America’s Kent, Washington, headquarters.
