Published August 18, 2026

ST. PAUL, Minn. (BRAIN) — Park Tool is marking 50 years of its TS-2 Professional Wheel Truing Stand with a limited edition version that is powder-coated gold and includes an engraved numbered nameplate and other special features.

Park will make just 50 of the special TS-2.50 model, with some of them being auctioned with proceeds going to bicycle-focused nonprofits. The whole run will be sold through the auctions and other benefits and will be unavailable for purchase.

The first auction is now live now on eBay, with the proceeds earmarked for PeopleForBikes.

Besides the powder coating and engraving, the special stands also have custom decals and CNC-machined aluminum knobs with the original Park Tool logo.

Park Tool CEO Eric Hawkins said, "We’re excited to partner with PeopleForBikes to auction one of the 50 limited edition TS-2.50 50th anniversary Truing Stands. Through their advocacy, promotion and policy work PFB continues to benefit us all by helping to make America a better and safer place to ride a bike. Park Tool is proud to partner with People for Bikes to offer this special once-in-a-lifetime piece for auction to benefit their organization. "

Park will announce more auctions on its social media channels.

The TS-2 truing stand was designed by Park Tool founders Howard Hawkins and Art Engstrom and employee Jim Johnson in a major overhaul of the original TS-1. Over time, the TS-2 had had numerous tweaks and refinements for better serviceability, greater accuracy, and a wider range of compatibility with modern bicycles.

The most recent edition, TS-2.3, can accommodate 32-inch wheels with axle widths up to 200 mm, and includes quick-installing thru axle adapters for modern hubs.
