MELBOURNE, Australia (BRAIN) — Knog is recalling an early production run of its Blinder headlights because of potential battery issue that can pose a fire and burn hazard.
The recalled models are the Blinder 900, Blinder 1300, Blinder 80 StVZO, Blinder 120 StVZO with batch numbers: 0423-AA, 0723-AA, 0923-AA, 1023-AA, 1123-AA, 11A23-AA & 0124-AA. Each light has the batch code on the base of the product.
Knog recommends visiting its recall page to verify the product batch code. Owners of a defective light should stop using it and file a claim for a free replacement.
After submitting a claim, the light should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations for lithium-ion batteries. Improper disposal can lead to environmental hazards or safety risks.
