CPSC issues recall for about 2,200 Favoto helmets

Published May 7, 2026

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — About 2,200 Favoto helmets sold on Amazon are being recalled because they lack federal mandatory safety standards.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Favoto Model H-1 helmets don't comply with positional stability, labeling, and certification requirements. No incidents nor injuries have been reported.

The CPSC said consumers should sever the straps, photograph the helmet, and email the photo to safety@favoto.com for a refund.

The helmet body is black with red stripes, black padding, black straps with a silver reflective pattern in the center and a black and red buckle with a black chin strap. They were sold in youth size large and have a black plastic knob at the back for fit adjustment. "FAVOTO" is printed in white letters on the side.

The helmets were manufactured in China and sold on Amazon.com from April 2022 through January 2026 for between $20 and $27.
